The position primarily involves tasks supporting the preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations formulated in collaboration with senior staff. Responsibilities include managing construction materials testing (CMT) projects with daily report review, assisting with resolution of issues, and training of field staff on your projects. The role also requires managing project budgets on both geotechnical and CMT projects and preparing invoices. Other duties may include assisting with or performing boring and test pit layouts, evaluating site access, preparing drilling packages, obtaining utility clearances, performing research on local geologic history, supervising field work performed by drilling/test pit crews, assisting with rig access issues, performing in-situ testing, and classifying soil and assigning laboratory testing. Additionally, the position involves assisting with the preparation of proposals for both geotechnical and CMT projects for training and developmental purposes.
