About The Position

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Geotechnical Staff Engineer position in our Chattanooga, TN office. This role involves performing geotechnical field investigations, which may include boring layouts, drilling inspections, and running geophysical surveys. The engineer will coordinate and assist with managing the scope of services provided by subcontract drilling firms, perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples, and conduct geotechnical field inspections during the construction phase as needed. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for preparing geotechnical engineering reports, proposals, and attending client meetings, as well as participating in meetings with the design team, stakeholders, and clients.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 3 to 6+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering field.
• EIT license (PE is a plus).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Driver’s License Required.
• Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects.

Responsibilities
