About The Position

Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in our Redmond, Washington office or our Boise, Idaho satellite office. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work, partner with senior geotechnical engineers, provide mentorship to junior staff, collaborate with multidiscipline teams, and engage with clients. We are looking for someone with the ability and passion to provide technical and field oversite on complex projects, be directly involved with Client communication, and develop their project management skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil / geotechnical engineering - Master's preferred
  • Professional Engineering license in Washington
  • 6+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting on infrastructure projects
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of standard business software including MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, DeepSoil, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, Slide, etc.
  • Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects
  • Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation
  • Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, seismic hazard evaluation (including liquefaction and lateral spreading), and earth retention systems
  • Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development
  • Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports
  • Prepare construction specifications and drawings
  • Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects
  • Positively interact with client representatives
  • Development of scope of work, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules
