Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing practice. This position is hybrid and can be local to one of our offices in San Diego, Temecula, or Palm Desert. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage projects or be assigned to major projects to perform geotechnical related tasks under the supervision of Senior Project Manager. The Land Services practice group delivers integrated environmental, geotechnical, and early‑stage land development support across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties. Our team partners with public agencies, private developers, and utility clients to move land‑based projects from concept through due diligence, permitting, and early design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or engineering geology
  • 7+ years of experience in managing geotechnical aspects of land development and construction projects
  • California Registered Civil Engineer (RCE)
  • Strong organization and written/oral communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and industry peers

Responsibilities

  • Manage geotechnical investigations for major development/construction projects
  • Supervise and mentor staff engineers and technicians
  • Familiar with Caltrans Standard Specifications
  • Train staff in basic engineering procedures and techniques
  • Prepare and present proposals, scopes of work and budgets for new projects
  • Prepare and/or review technical reports
  • Interpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analyses
  • Supervise engineering analyses for foundation design, slope stability and seismic hazards
  • Review grading and foundation plans for conformance with recommendations
  • Develop and maintain an active client base
