About The Position

The position primarily involves the preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations, with a strong commitment to meet project deadlines. The role includes managing construction materials testing (CMT) projects, which involves daily report review, assisting with the resolution of issues, and training field staff on projects. Responsibilities also include preparing both geotechnical and CMT proposals, managing project budgets, and preparing change orders and invoices. The candidate will host or attend project meetings with clients to follow up on delivered reports and provide technical solutions as necessary. Other duties may include assisting with or performing tasks such as preparing drilling packages and obtaining utility clearances, performing research on local geologic history, supervising field work performed by drilling/test pit crews, assisting with rig access issues, classifying soil, and assigning laboratory testing. Additionally, the candidate will mentor and support Staff Project Managers, Assistant Staff Project Managers, and technicians in their development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred
  • Valid driver's license required if driving for ECS subsidiary
