About The Position

NOVA Engineering is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our Tallahassee, FL office. NOVA works on a diverse range of projects including commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, transportation, and residential developments. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation, is required
• EIT is required
• 3 - 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering is required
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct and oversee special inspections and construction materials testing projects.
• Review and approve technical reports for both geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects, ensuring they meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
