What You Will Do: As a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you will support and grow S&ME's renewable energy practice by delivering geotechnical engineering services for solar, energy transmission, and related infrastructure projects. You will balance technical execution, project management, and client engagement, contributing to high‑quality project delivery while supporting renewable energy pursuits and long-term energy market growth within a collaborative, employee‑owned firm. Renewable Energy Project Support: Serve as a project engineer on geotechnical projects for solar facilities, substations, transmission corridors, and other energy infrastructure, supporting projects from feasibility through construction. Project Management & Delivery: Manage geotechnical projects from planning through report delivery, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met. Geotechnical Analysis & Reporting: Develop and review subsurface exploration programs, geotechnical analyses, foundation recommendations, and technical reports and memoranda. Client & Pursuit Engagement: Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and proposal development to support existing energy clients and new renewable energy pursuits. Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and field staff, provide technical guidance and reviews, and promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and quality.
