From earthquake and seismic engineering to the latest trenchless technology methods, Kleinfelder's Geotechnical Services support the planning, engineering, and construction of complex projects, and our specialists are leading experts in their fields. Kleinfelder is hiring a Geotechnical Intern to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah! This position will run for approximately three months! The selected applicant will have the opportunity to work in both in the field and the office.

Requirements

• 0 - 1 year or related experience.
• Strong communication skills, intermediate Microsoft Office experience required.
• Clean driving record, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug test required.
• Graduate student currently enrolled in a master's program, or bachelor's graduate applying for a master's program in geotechnical engineering.
• Must be pursuing coursework relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

• Interns will receive training to perform soils laboratory testing and geotechnical field reconnaissance.
• They will receive close supervision and support while they assist geotechnical engineers in daily field report preparation and other engineering activities.
• Attention to detail, focus on accuracy, and maintaining cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors are important.
