We're looking for Geotechnical Engineering Interns to join our Geotechnical team this upcoming summer! This is an excellent opportunity to get some real-world experience in the Geotechnical Engineering industry! In this role you will assist technical staff with field and lab testing of construction materials like soils, asphalt, and concrete, and support engineers with geotechnical fieldwork, soil classification, and lab testing. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in either Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Very limited work based experience (0 to 3 months).

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
  • Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological/geophysical field data.
  • Help senior colleagues collect and analyze data by carrying out routine reservoir characterization and analysis tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
  • Use data management systems to access specific information as and when required.
  • Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users' needs.
  • Collect and create content, best practices, and case studies to capture and share knowledge.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities.
  • Support others by carrying out a range of research activities.
  • Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of exploration plans for specific projects.
