The Geotechnical Engineer will be working in a hybrid capacity out of our Insight Group Division in Cape Canaveral, FL. This is a hybrid position with being in office 2-3 days a week. Job Summary: A Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for assessing and analyzing soil, rock, groundwater, and other conditions to determine their impact on construction projects. They design and implement solutions for foundations, earthworks, and other geotechnical aspects, ensuring the stability and safety of structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Experience 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Professional Registration: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, proficiency in geotechnical analysis software, excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations: Perform field exploration, laboratory testing, and analysis to determine soil and rock properties.
  • Design foundations and earthworks: Develop designs for foundations, retaining structures, and other earthworks.
  • Prepare technical reports: Write detailed reports on findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Provide technical support: Assist in the design and construction of infrastructure projects.
  • Project management: Oversee geotechnical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other engineers: Work closely with civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
