Were just built to be better. We are a great company. We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer 1 to join our San Ramon, CA team! Come join us! Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs geotechnical investigations and support activities including, but not limited to site reconnaissance, exploration monitoring via drilling and test pits, soil/rock classification, sample logging, infiltration testing, groundwater monitoring, other site testing, subgrade inspections during project construction, and construction earthwork activity oversight. Assist project managers and Geotechnical Engineers 2, 3, and 4 with various aspects of report preparation, basic engineering calculations, and design recommendations. Arranges site investigations to identify potential geotechnical challenges that may affect engineering design recommendations by gathering data on soil and rock conditions, including properties such as composition, strength, permeability, and stability. Assists in establishing and implementing standard geotechnical analysis and testing processes that help evaluate the properties, capacity, and behavior of subsurface soil, bedrock, and groundwater conditions. Coordinates assessments regarding the geotechnical aspects of construction projects and assists with the development of design recommendations to help ensure the stability, safety, and durability of structural foundations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required Civil Engineer.
  • 2 years of professional experience in geotechnical field preferred.
  • Ability to travel, if project requires.
  • Ability to lift 70lbs repeatedly.

  • EIT or PE desired, but not required.
