Geotechnical Driller
About The Position
Overview We are looking for experienced Geotechnical Driller (Geohazard Mitigation Technician Level 3, GMT3) to join our team. As a GMT3 working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often. You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office. Who is GeoStabilization International®? Requirements
- At least one year soil stabilization or geohazard mitigation experience required
- Heavy equipment operation experience
- Prior concrete or shotcrete experience
- Drilling experience
- Ability to travel extensively
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to get along with a diverse group of people
Nice To Haves
- Class A CDL
- Nozzleman certification (ACI Certification)
Responsibilities
- Operate rock drills (Cammachio, KIemm, Casagrande, Fraste)
- Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps
- Operate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders
- Reading and determining measurements
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site
- Work together in a team environment
