About The Position

Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our growing Geostructural Group in Quakertown, PA. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated early-career engineer or a field engineer looking to transition into a design-focused role specializing in retaining walls, support of excavation systems, and engineered slopes. You will work directly under experienced Professional Engineers and receive structured mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in real-world geostructural design.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
Actively pursuing E.I.T. certification (required).
Basic understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
Exposure to retaining wall or slope stability concepts (coursework acceptable).
Basic AutoCAD experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of segmental retaining walls.
Assist in the design of support of excavation systems.
Support engineered slope and global stability evaluations.
Perform geotechnical analyses including lateral earth pressures, slope stability, bearing capacity, and settlement.
Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and construction documents.
Develop plan details and sections using AutoCAD.
Participate in subsurface investigations and interpret soil data for design use.
Coordinate with contractors and project managers during construction.
