Geotechnical Construction Testing & Inspection Technician - Blacksburg
About The Position
We are looking for a Construction Testing & Inspection Technician experienced in testing and inspection of concrete along with being proficient in interpretation of site and structural plans in our Blacksburg, Virginia office. This role will include fieldwork that may involve lifting equipment, standing, bending, stooping, or climbing rough terrain, as well as working in a standard office environment. The position may also require proximity to a drill rig and exposure to high noise levels from equipment operation. Competency in masonry, asphalt, and special inspections is desired.
Requirements
- Previous experience in testing and inspection of earthwork and concrete
- Ability to work in varying environments including fieldwork and office settings
- Physical ability to lift 60+ lbs., stand, bend, stoop, and climb over rough terrain
- Flexibility to work overtime based on project needs
- Willingness to work in high noise level environments near equipment operation
Nice To Haves
- Competency in masonry, asphalt, and special inspections is desired.
