About The Position
Provide expert-level support for and supervision of the design, development, and delivery of web or stand-alone applications relating to the implementation of geospatial technology for natural resource management. Products include web sites, web map viewers, non‐spatial web applications, and complex spatially-enabled interactive websites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as application developer.
- Experience designing and building applications.
- In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tool.s
- Ability to manage projects through the full development lifecycle.
- Strong skills in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and JSON, and Java or .Net development.
- Experience with front‐end Javascript libraries.
- Development experience building RESTful web services and APIs.
- Experience with PostgreSQL / PostGIS, or other relevant SQL.
- Knowledge of geospatial data formats, geographic coordinate systems, GDAL, and Esri APIs for webmap development.
- Bachelor’s degree related to computer science or related discipline and seven (7) years of relevant professional work experience designing and building applications. -OR- Graduate degree related to computer science or related discipline and five (5) years of relevant professional work experience designing and building applications. -OR- PhD degree related to computer science or related discipline and three (3) years of relevant professional work experience designing and building applications.
