As a Geospatial Systems Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Geospatial Systems Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA, or St. Louis, MO. The Systems Engineering team is seeking a driven Senior Systems Administrator that is highly technical and mission focused. This ideal candidate is ready to operate as a TIER 3 level Linux Administrator, experienced in managing large amounts of data and storage at sites all over the world. This is a fast paced, ever evolving, challenging position that is mission focused and rewarding.

  • Daily administration of multiple RHEL servers, attached storage, and the networks they utilize
  • Provide Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
  • Implement, troubleshoot and maintain IT systems remotely
  • Document the management of system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the server/storage devices
  • Work within existing Ticket management practices to escalate and communicate status to the customer and program
  • Collaborate with engineers across multiple contracts to produce security and engineering related artifacts that span technical, physical, and logical system scope
  • Interface with subject matter experts from across several contracts and service lanes to support and document systems environments
  • Provide On-Call support on a rotational, as-needed basis
  • Travel is expected for installations, repair and disaster recovery
  • Ten (10) years’ experience as a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator supporting complex, multi-site enterprise-scale environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Computer Science, etc.)
  • Experience writing detailed, technical documentation
  • 8570 Compliance
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Ability to respond to after hours on call support
  • Ability to present to internal & external leadership
  • Existing knowledge of our Customers process, procedures and production
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
