About The Position

ANSER is actively seeking a Geospatial Collections Instructor to work in support National Geospatial Agency (NGA) to deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs. This role requires full-time onsite work in Springfield, VA. This position is not open to hybrid or remote work.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • Master’s degree in area of expertise plus 3 years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in area of expertise plus 5 years of relevant experience, OR a High School diploma plus 20 years of relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant instructor experience.
  • Documented experience within the last 24 months solving intelligence problems and filling intelligence gaps through collection of airborne and space-borne imagery.
  • Operational experience with adjudicating Geospatial Information Needs (GINs).
  • Documented experience creating and submitting requirements in GEOINT Information Management Systems (GIMS) or a similar tool within the last 24 months.

  • Experience with Automated Strategies and the Strategy Designer App (SDA)
  • Previous instructional experience with NGA or a military service

Responsibilities

  • Instruct GEOINT Collections Requirements Management (GCRM) at the NGA College.
  • Delivers in-resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements.
  • Use instructional methods such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories.
  • Use instructional technology, including but not limited to Blackboard and IC Connect.
  • Conduct assessment strategy in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading.
  • Provide formal and informal student feedback.
  • Provide subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff.
  • Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees, if needed.
  • Conduct maintenance on GCRM course material as part of a team.
  • As needed, travel to locations worldwide to teach GCRM courses. Locations typically include Hawaii, California, Missouri, Colorado, North Carolina, Germany and Australia, but courses are held in other locations as needed.
