About The Position

TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions. We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Geophysicist to join our Onshore Processing & Imaging team in Houston. This role focuses on independently processing and imaging seismic data to support exploration and development decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven recent experience in seismic data processing and imaging, with a strong emphasis on land data.
• Knowledge of land seismic acquisition, statics, noise attenuation, velocity modeling, and migration/imaging algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Independently process and image onshore seismic data, adhering to industry best practices.
• Generate detailed workflows for each step in the processing sequence, incorporating in-depth quality control at every stage.
• Present each step in the processing sequence to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Collaborate closely with the geoscience team to deliver high-quality results on time and align with project objectives.
