The Geomechanical and Solution Mining Global Manufacturing Technology Engineer IV at Cargill is responsible for developing globally aligned processes, standards, and governance to support the manufacturing technology that aligns with the business strategy. This role involves providing technical expertise in design standards, process capabilities, hazard analysis, and performance monitoring, while also supporting innovation road mapping to enable business objectives.

  • Develop design standards across engineering disciplines for specific manufacturing technology.
  • Analyze plant performance metrics and identify gaps in standards, metrics, and measurements.
  • Implement improvements into design standards and develop technology transfer packages.
  • Create technical education content and lead training initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities and gaps in manufacturing technology knowledge and provide coaching to improve talent competency.
  • Support the development of roadmaps for manufacturing technology, understanding industry trends.
  • Assess and develop complex business case scenarios and technology alternatives.
  • Provide expert thought leadership and work with limited direction to identify issues or problems.
  • Direct supporting team members and contribute strategically.
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience in solution mining and applying geomechanical concepts.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Proficiency with geomechanical concepts and experience in solution mining or underground mining environments.
  • Experience with regulations and interaction with regulatory agencies related to solution and underground mining.
