About The Position
As part of the development of its MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) division, EticWood Brussels is strengthening its technical team with a Geomatics, Remote Sensing and MRV Expert . You will play a central role in the design, development, and deployment of geographic information systems (GIS), satellite monitoring tools, and traceability platforms supporting our projects across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. You will act as a key technical interface between field teams, institutional partners, and regulatory frameworks (EUDR, REDD+, VCS).
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and deploy GIS applications on ArcGIS Enterprise (Field Maps, Survey123, Experience Builder, Dashboards, etc.)
- Design data collection and visualization tools accessible to non-technical users
- Automate geospatial data processing workflows using ETL tools (e.g. FME) and scripting (Python/ArcPy, R, or JavaScript)
- Implement and manage traceability and due diligence systems compliant with EUDR (plot geolocation, deforestation-free supply chains)
- Conduct remote sensing analysis and satellite image processing (Google Earth Engine, SNAP) applied to forestry, agroforestry, and carbon assessment
- Contribute to the setup and monitoring of MRV systems compliant with VCS (Verra) and REDD+ standards
- Produce technical documentation, reports, and deliverables in French and English
- Train and support field teams and local partners in the use of developed tools
- Participate in field missions in Sub-Saharan Africa depending on project needs
