This position requires the step-by-step creation of petrographic thin sections from rock samples using dedicated Geology Program equipment in WSB 116. The student will also maintain cleanliness of all equipment to ensure operability. Rock samples from Geology faculty and students are the sample source. The student in this position will also train interested students and faculty in thin-section production techniques. This position is funded through August 2026. All other duties are assigned unique to the department. Responsible for the personal safety and the safety of others. This position is security sensitive.
