Requirements

Knowledge of safety and environmental policies and practices, and willingness to develop related skills sets: required
Maintain a valid State driver’s license for light vehicles. Ability to operate light vehicles safely and effectively: required
Operate forklifts and other support equipment as needed: required
Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities: required
Effective organizational and communication skills: required
Knowledge and understanding of basic Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

Demonstrate safety leadership and safety consciousness
Safe and efficient use of equipment
Ability to manage the sample inventory and related warehouse material, safely, without damage to the people, property, or process
Makes accurate records of new materials placed into storage. Maintains a full understanding of the storage locations
Move and process core and reverse circulation samples
Completes daily workplace inspections and corrects problems within individual’s capabilities
Accurately photographs drill core ensuring natural colors and minimal distortion
Ensures timely shipments to laboratories and accurately completes required forms
Demonstrate knowledge of state-wide warehouse locations and the ability to travel to and from these sites safely, while adhering to site safety and protocols
Ability to identify naming and numbering errors in sample handling procedures
Ability to read and understand material retrieval requests, collect these materials and ship accordingly
Ability to travel underground and operate cage via bell signals to collect samples from shaft stations
