Interprets, integrates, and evaluates subsurface geologic data to develop economic oil and gas investment opportunities for the company. Essential Job Responsibilities: Interprets and evaluates subsurface geologic data to construct integrated maps, cross sections, and other geologic displays defining subsurface structure, reservoir geometries, net sand and pay, hydrocarbon pore volume and other essential economically significant interpretations. Obtains, manipulates, and interprets computer databases and mapping programs consistent with established company mapping standards. Obtains and interprets well log correlation and interpretation, petrophysical analysis, interpretation of seismic data, field specific geologic interpretation of known producing traps and trap types, structure and producing intervals to define drilling, recompletion, and workover economic objectives. Supervises and performs on-site open hole well-site geologic evaluations. Coordinates open-hole evaluation tools and service company vendors. Assesses the potential and economic viability of external generated proposals for the company. Presents geologic work to obtain external capital resources. Maintains employee confidence and protects corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and contributing to goals as needed. Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
