About The Position

If so, we’d like to talk with you about growing with us. We are currently seeking a full-time Geologist to join our team of professionals in our Dallas, TX office. This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for diverse clients worldwide. Candidates must be willing to work out of the Dallas office; relocation assistance is available to meet this expectation. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Geologist to support a diverse range of environmental projects in Texas and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will be eager to contribute to site investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and the implementation of remedial solutions for both traditional and emerging contaminants, including PFAS and other complex environmental challenges. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited college in geology, hydrology, or hydrogeology (advanced degrees preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience.
  • Possession of a Texas Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.G.) certification.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training and certification.
  • Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Experience in multi-media environmental sampling.
  • Working knowledge of and demonstrated experience in working on Texas Risk Reduction and Petroleum Storage Tank Program sites and on Federal CERCLA and/or RCRA sites.
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (environmental consulting experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid US driver’s license.

  • PFAS sampling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing work plans, sampling and analysis plans, Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports, safety plans, and accident prevention plans.
  • Coordinating and performing environmental site assessment field activities, including but not limited to collecting groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and soil gas samples.
  • Providing support during the implementation of remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination at sites regulated under federal and state programs.
  • Documenting field work and drafting technical reports.
  • Providing site safety officer services on federal sites.
