The Geologist will serve as an integral member of the Exploration team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: Analyze subsurface data, including seismic, well logs, and core samples, to determine reservoir properties and potential Create detailed geological models and maps to support exploration and production activities Work closely with drilling team to ensure accurate well targeting via geosteering Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and optimize field development plans Prepare and present geological prognoses, development plans, and other analyses Stay updated with industry advancements and integrate new technologies and methodologies into geological tasks Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Geology or a related Earth Sciences field; a Master of Science degree is an advantage
Approximately 5 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production geology
Experience in well log analysis, reservoir characterization, and seismic interpretation
Strong knowledge of drilling, completion, and production operations
Coding experience is preferred, particularly with Python, Matlab, or other similar programming languages
Proficient in geological software such as Starsteer, Gverse, Petrel, or similar platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological data
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information effectively
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in geological modeling and reporting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with various technical disciplines
Familiarity with regulatory standards and environmental guidelines in the oil and gas industry
The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.

Master of Science degree is an advantage
Coding experience is preferred, particularly with Python, Matlab, or other similar programming languages
