About The Position

As a Geologist at Coterra Energy, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the region through technical analyses and collaboration with various teams. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing horizontal exploration and development plans, ensuring the safe execution of well plans, and optimizing drilling programs. Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Geologist
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in upstream Oil and Gas
• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in geology, geophysics, or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in unconventional resource plays, preferably with Delaware Basin experience
• Proficiency in Mapping Software packages, such as Petra, Geographix, and/or SMT Kingdom
• Proficient with well logs and petrophysics
• Experienced in creating standard geological work products

Nice To Haves

• Graduate Degree (Master's degree in geology or geophysics highly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform regional geological risk and resource analyses across a variety of play types
• Integrate geologic, geophysical, petrophysical, and production data to identify opportunities
• Map and communicate resource potential through appropriate geologic products
• Work closely with reservoir engineers to assess economics of prospects
• Help to plan wells and guide geosteering staff on proper well placement
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision
