As part of the MRM team, the successful candidate will be results-centric adding to our already ambitious yet exciting working environment supporting our mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a background using Deswik, Vulcan, Acquire and Leapfrog mining software.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or related field required
• Excellent safety record required
• Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
• Previous operations experience 0-2+ years preferred

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Deswik, Vulcan, LeapFrog and Acquire software an advantage preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide a strong contribution to the site safety culture and programs, encouraging and ensuring others do the same
• Working with Operations, Engineering, and Process to ensure that full production potential is met
• Design drill programs scope, and budgets, while ensuring stakeholders information is considered (engineering, geotech, hydrology, metallurgy and operations)
• Close working relationship with Exploration and MRM Growth to ensure that the geologic modeling agrees with operational geologic interpretation
• Manage and track drill program budgets
• Logging of diamond core and RC chips
• Manage and review Ore Control releases
• Update geological interpretations using LeapFrog, Deswik, and Maptek
• Assist with geological studies as necessary
• Prepare routine reports (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually) as required
