About The Position
DEQ has an open opportunity for a Geologist/Hydrogeologist. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. The Geologist/Hydrogeologist position will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting geological/hydrogeological data and processes concerning surface and groundwater resources and/or geotechnical subsurface evaluations for facilities located in the Winston-Salem Region. The position will enforce applicable regulations and respond to public concerns and legislative mandates with regard to incident management, permitting, and disposal of coal combustion products in North Carolina.
