About The Position
DEQ has an open opportunity for a Geologist/Hydrogeologist. This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays. The NC Department of Environmental Quality trusts our employees to be self-motivated and successful in hybrid/remote roles. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management. The Geologist/Hydrogeologist position will perform hydrogeological evaluations related to permitted and regulated waste discharge activities, including animal waste management activities as they relate to groundwater in the seven counties for which the Wilmington Regional Office is responsible.
