About The Position

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) seeks a talented, tenacious, results driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with likeminded motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists who are collectively responsible for creating custom geolocation and digital communications systems in support of national security defense. Core responsibilities include creative problem solving, researching or inventing advanced geolocation algorithms, implementing them in efficient software, testing with real-world data, and deploying to front-line customer facilities. RRC's dynamic environment and diverse projects demand flexibility to learn new technologies quickly. RRC personnel can expect to work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M. Under general supervision, this individual will work in a small team to conceive, design, implement, analyze, test, deploy, and maintain solutions for geolocation systems. Implementation includes algorithm development, analysis, system optimization and deployment strategies. The right candidate will be expected to demonstrate dedication, discipline, integrity, and team play leading to products that are well-structured, documented, and carefully tested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical area such as; Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Physics
  • Minimum 5 years experience in software engineering-related discipline
  • Exceptional applied mathematics ability
  • Demonstrated capability in scientific programming
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical area; a minor in Applied Mathematics is helpful
  • Strong physics fundamentals
  • Exceptional applied mathematics ability reflected in a background in geolocation, signal processing or communication theory and practice
  • Experience in system definition, development and deployment of geolocation algorithms and systems, preferably in a classified environment
  • Familiarity with team coding concepts, version control, testing, and analysis of code performance
  • Experience programming in C/C++ or Python
  • GPS or other navigation systems
  • Electromagnetic propagation
  • Relativity
  • Multipath and interference mitigation
  • Signal processing such as CAF processing and cyclostationary detection
  • Signal modulation types and parameters
  • RADAR processing
  • Mathematical techniques such as non-linear optimization and statistical analysis
  • Positioning algorithms such as MUSIC and TDOA/FDOA geolocation
