About The Position
Augustana College, Rock Island, IL, invites applications for a full-time, Visiting, Assistant Professor position in the Geography department beginning in August of the 2025-2026 academic year. The department seeks a geographer with expertise in human-environment interactions and GIS. The new colleague will teach 24 credits per 10-month academic year (standard courses are 4 credits), which will include introduction to human geography, introduction to environmental studies (natural or social dimensions), and introductory GIS. Research is not expected in this position; however, we welcome candidates who have a research agenda that engages undergraduate students.
