About The Position

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST, FACILITIES INFRASTRUCTURE As a member of the Facilities Infrastructure team, you will be directly responsible for managing and integrating Building Information Models (BIM) project work into the campus Geographic Information System (GIS) platform. You will manage and update campus maps, site plans, and individual building models as the needs of the business evolve. You will work with a group of elite designers, engineers, and construction project managers across multiple disciplines to design, build, and commission infrastructure that will enable humanity to become multiplanetary. This position is based in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and will support other sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with geographic information systems.
  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in geographic information systems, architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering fields.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, NX or Civil 3D platforms.
  • Experience in construction, project management, and tenant improvement for multiple facilities at once.
  • Knowledge of basic construction and engineering principles and methods.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) and industrial gas trade.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage workflows for smooth integration of BIM (Revit/ Civil 3d) models into ArcGIS between in-house work and those completed by contractors.
  • Partner with cross-departmental teams to define requirements and derive details for all utility needs in GIS.
  • Set up and manage geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS, Civil 3D, Revit, and other relevant software to support planning, design, and analysis.
  • Lay the digital foundation for master planning efforts, which will later be transitioned to design teams.
  • Develop, collect, and maintain 3D models to support spatial analysis and scenario planning.
  • Extract, clean, and visualize geospatial data from multiple sources.
  • Use ArcGIS Pro to construct new map features and edit existing features such as parcels, roads, utilities, buildings, etc.
  • Manage and maintain shared coordinates in the Revit Ecosystem based on Civil 3D design models.
  • Assist in piloting (identifying) new technologies and implementing adopted technologies such as drones, VR, AR, Drones, 360 cameras, laser scanning, etc.
  • Access various software applications and websites for retrieval of necessary data to make the required digital map updates.
  • Perform project control tasks, including project strategy, developing detail roadmap, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
