About The Position
Founded in November of 1992, SynTerra is an employee-owned science and engineering consulting firm. We help clients meet business objectives and address technical challenges in innovative and cost-effective ways. With offices throughout the Southeast, SynTerra works with clients on governmental, industrial, economic development, and commercial projects. Our mission is to foster our client’s success by helping to balance technical, economic, and social considerations. As a GIS Technician at SynTerra, you’ll play a key role in creating and managing spatial data products essential to projects in the environmental consulting and engineering industry. Your main responsibilities will include developing detailed cartographic deliverables such as water-level maps, isoconcentration maps, wetland delineations, and other maps to supplement regulatory reporting efforts. You will collaborate closely with project teams, apply analytical skills to spatial data, in order to create the best work product for our clients. Additionally, you will work closely with other geospatial team members to provide support for developing tools and web services that underpin our robust internal ArcGIS Enterprise deployment. This position is based in Greenville, SC, and offers an opportunity to grow within our talented geospatial services group.
