Tetra Tech is adding a qualified Geographic Information System (GIS) Professional Scientist to join our Honolulu, HI office. This position will support a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced consulting environment, with a focus on GIS analysis, geospatial data/database management, mobile data collection, and map/figure generation in support of biological and natural resource programs. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of GIS analysts and project managers to support natural resource and permitting projects.   • Provide dependable GIS support for natural resource data analysis.
  • Prepare high-quality hard copy and electronic maps/figures using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Perform geospatial data management, analysis, and documentation.
  • Identify, obtain, and manage published geospatial datasets in support of natural resources projects.
  • Compile and maintain metadata documentation in accordance with FGDC and related standards.
  • Design, maintain, and document geodatabases, including enterprise-level databases using ESRI products.
  • Collect, download, correct, and export GPS field data using Field Maps and Survey123.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet high-quality data standards and undergo rigorous review.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Geography preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of professional GIS experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and organize large datasets with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and enterprise-level GIS tools.
  • GPS field data collection and analysis experience using Field Maps/Survey123.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional demeanor with flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving project demands.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
  • SQL database experience (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server) desired.
