About The Position

Geoduck Farmers transport seed by boat to the farm site then subsequently "plant" the seed into the mesh nursery tubes. These mesh tubes are installed by the crew working together to evenly space them. The Crew Lead will instruct the crew members where to place the tubes and how to most efficiently accomplish this. Geoduck Farmers will also be responsible for removal of tubes from older crops that no longer require the protection of the nursery tubes. The Crew Lead will instruct members in the process to ensure efficiency and best practices are followed.

Requirements

Ability to sit, stand and/or walk on uneven ground
The employee will required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
The employee needs to be able to lift up to 50lbs. (Regularly required to exert up to 20 lbs. of force, frequently required to exert up to 50 lbs. of force, occasionally required to exert up to 125 lbs. of force)
The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers
Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
Must have agility and balance to safely climb on machines, boats, etc
May be required to work at other work sites/ locations as needed
May be required to do other tasks as needed
