About The Position

Brierley Associates is seeking qualified candidates to support our trenchless, tunneling and geotechnical operations based in Brighton, Michigan.

Requirements

• BS (MS preferred) in Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related engineering field
• Demonstrated design and construction experience
• Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
• 0-5 Years of experience
• Ability to manage a number of concurrent assignments and priorities
• Willingness to work in the field and travel, including to other Brierley offices and job sites, for short-term assignments
• Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD/BIM and Civil 3D

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of geotechnical design parameters
• Analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, and wood structures
• Foundation design
• Layout and detailing of engineering drawings - Experience with CAD/BIM and Civil 3D a plus
• Construction site visits to monitor progress and other elements of contract documents
• Assist in client communications
• Prepare design computations and quantity estimates
• Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, and plans
• Representing the Company in professional, technical, and business organizations
• Providing technical assistance to other Brierley offices.
