About The Position

The Senior Genuine Oil Consultant is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and expanding assigned key customer accounts by managing all aspects of the relationship, coordinating communications and responding to the customer’s needs. You will build and maintain excellent customer relationships by providing rewarding partnerships.

Requirements

  • BA/BS (technical degree preferred) or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5+ years Sales (senior level), PCMO - 3-5 years
  • OES OEM’s - 4 years
  • Automotive Distribution 3 years
  • Automotive Dealerships (OEM parts and/or service field sales and support)
  • Able to use computers with capability in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM (Salesforce), and email (Outlook). Overall good PC skills.
  • Able to conduct product/program presentations to customers.
  • Solid written & verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely to internal and external shareholders.
  • Able to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Good product knowledge with engine oils, transmission fluids, power steering fluids, compressor oils, and lubrication storage to include dispensing and tracking equipment.
  • Able to process information logically and understand and follow ethical business practices.
  • Must have a strong customer service attitude while working as a team player, along with the ability to work professionally with customers and vendors.
  • Able to lead by example.
  • Able to mentor other GOC’s and take team initiatives forward.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership operations; how dealerships make money.
  • Knowledge of the essential functions for each dealership department: sales, finance, service and parts departments - how these department operate and influence each other within a dealership setting.
  • Excellent sales tools knowledge.
  • Able to understand sales reports and accounts receivable management.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills, high degree of self-motivation, and excellent time management skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop relationships within assigned territory to ensure assigned OE dealer locations feature/sell genuine OE lubricants.
  • Develop pipeline with qualifying accounts.
  • Own customer/prospect relationship and is the primary point of contact for dealer locations.
  • Transfer knowledge and motivate dealership personnel.
  • Provide sound information and advice to dealers on products and services.
  • Provide complete and accurate meeting minutes of each visit.
  • Maintain consistent routing/visits to retailers.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with DPSM’s, zone managers and retailer principals.
  • Provide timely reporting to customers internally and externally.
  • Provide management detailed reporting and assist in planning and execution of programs.
  • Mentor and provide additional support to others on the GOC team.
  • Provide marketing and field sales support for national accounts.
  • Facilitate ongoing sales and marketing activities with OEM field and distributors.
  • Maintain good customer and distributor relationships.
  • Support and advances regional sales efforts for national accounts.
  • As part of a team, coordinate the introduction of a nation-wide OEM distribution program, with OEM field sales, automotive dealerships, and distributor field sales representatives.
  • Develop and implement regional roll-out timetable, coordinated with nationwide effort to expand the distribution program within the region, followed by continued activities to support and maintain the distribution region after the introduction phase.
  • Introduce program and selling strategies to OEM field sales and management.
  • Conduct ongoing OEM field training meetings and presentations.
  • Provide regular field sales activity reports to national account management.
  • Facilitate dealer roll-out meetings with OEM field sales, and distribution sales and management.
  • Map out OEM dealerships locations geographically and coordinates with distributor coverage.
  • Meet with distributors to present basic program outlines and gather feedback to assist in qualifying and selection process.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and activities with the distributor representatives in the region.
  • Resolve problems that arise in the region with distributors and dealerships, working with OEM district parts and service managers, Idemitsu operations associates, and distributors.
  • Assist in the development, launch, and support of marketing campaigns and projects, and promotions.
