About The Position

Work in a variety of areas including pre-conceptual, prenatal, pediatric, adult, cardiac, and cancer counseling. This position allows counselors to be trained in a number of areas with the opportunity to focus on 2-3 clinics of interest over a period of time. This counselor will provide expertise in clinical genetics to counsel and support individuals and families on the implications of genetic conditions and traits. The genetic counselor will also be involved in educating providers and training genetic counseling students, and keeping the local community updated on current guidelines for genetic risk recommendations. Requirements

Master's degree from an American Board of Genetic Counseling accredited genetic counseling program required.
Board Eligible or Certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling required.
Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice within 6 months of completing Genetic Counseling degree.

Responsibilities
