About The Position

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Genetics team is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Genetics Counselor to join our esteemed team. The Genetics team is comprised of three Genetic Counselors and two Genetic Counseling Assistants working collaboratively to provide exceptional care. The team partners with multiple departments, including but not limited to Cystic Fibrosis, Oncology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine, to deliver comprehensive genetic counseling services. We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and new graduates who are eager to contribute to our mission. Requirements

  • Master's degree in genetic counseling Masters-Required
  • Experience in and knowledge of human genetics particularly its clinical aspects; genetic counseling and experience in working with patients and their families.
  • Experience or training in teaching and/or education
  • Certification as a genetic counselor by the American Board of Medical Genetics or other recognized certifying body within 12 months of hire.
  • Certified or Licensed as required by the state of practice-Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required
