About The Position

Responsible for coordinating specialized genetic counseling services for Hemophilia Treatment Center for Adults and Pediatrics to also include Pediatric Neurology and Developmental Pediatrics Clinic by designing, developing, implementing and supervising patient/family genetic counseling programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret information about the genetic disorder and inheritance patterns to aid in diagnosis and treatment of the disease
• Counsel patients and families by explaining aspects of the disease, current state of knowledge, and potential diagnostic techniques
• Develop and implement patient/family genetic counseling programs to ensure comprehensive and individualized care
• Supervise and coordinate the work of genetic counselors and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in genetic counseling and hemophilia treatment to provide the best possible care for patients and families
