About The Position

The Generator Technician position involves servicing and repairing generators for a Generac Dealer, focusing on both residential and commercial standby generators. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a small team. Technicians will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable power solutions for customers.

Requirements

• Experience with generators, transfer switches, or propane.
• Strong knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.
• A valid driving license.
• 3 years of generator experience.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair generators, including changing air filters and oil, and checking battery levels and spark plugs.
• Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers' generators.
• Work independently or with a small team, using a company vehicle to serve residential and commercial standby generators within a 30-minute radius.
