About The Position

The Generator Technician at Pearce Services, LLC is responsible for servicing and repairing commercial generators primarily located on cell phone towers. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the fast-paced telecom industry. The technician will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on generators, ensuring their optimal operation and readiness.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of generators.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate computer skills and basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, and installing or replacing components or entire systems.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness.
• Reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair equipment.
• Installing fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and testing for proper operation.
• Responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms and being available for on-call duty 24/7 if necessary.
• Utilizing safety equipment and practices while performing work, and attending all designated safety and training meetings.
