Your Impact : Are you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician looking to advance your career in the fast-paced Telecom industry? At Pearce, our Generator Technicians are responsible for servicing and repairing commercial generators on cell phone towers within your region. This position is ideal for independent and self-starting individuals who are willing to travel.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in generator maintenance is preferred, with a minimum of one year of intense work-related experience in generator and electrical maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to comply with OSHA standards, including the ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness and ability to drive long distances, work various hours, and assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair generators, diagnose problems, install or replace components, and perform maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
• Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure generator readiness, following blueprints or design specifications for installation or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other components, testing for proper operation.
• Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms, be on call 24/7 if necessary, and promptly answer assigned phone and email communications.
• Perform work with awareness of all potential hazards, using safety equipment and practices; attend and participate in all designated safety and training meetings.
