TE Certified is a fast-growing, top-rated home services company, and we’re looking for a skilled Generator Service Technician/Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to advance or start your career in the Home Standby Generator industry with a company that invests heavily in training, growth, and employee success. We’re seeking someone with strong mechanical ability—whether from generator service, automotive repair, or small engine work. Experience with home standby generators is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate. We have NO ON-CALL, NO SUNDAYS, AND NO TRAVEL!
Requirements
- 2–4 years of small engine mechanical experience (required)
- 1–2 years of home standby generator service or installation (preferred)
- Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities
- Leadership experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs and climb ladders regularly
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings
- Passion for generator systems and mechanical work
- Professional resume and solid references
- Residency within 35 miles of our Roswell location
Responsibilities
- Service and repair residential standby generators (Generac, Kohler, Cummins – air- and liquid-cooled units)
- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend repairs/services
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong communication
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and accurate service records
- Attend training, classes, and occasional Saturday work as needed
