About The Position

Leads, trains, and manages a team to sell and install residential, commercial, or industrial standby power solutions while developing market strategies to drive revenue growth. Responsible for setting quotas, managing client relationships (contractors/end-users), ensuring project profitability, and overseeing the sales process from lead generation to installation.

Requirements

  • Experience: Generally 2-5+ years in technical sales, with significant experience in generators, electrical systems, or power generation equipment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, technical aptitude, negotiation, CRM proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and willingness to travel for site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives, setting monthly/quarterly quotas and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Sales Strategy & Business Development: Develop strategies to expand market share, identify new business opportunities (retrofits/new builds), and foster relationships with contractors, engineers, and clients.
  • Technical Sales & Pricing: Educate customers on power systems, conduct site visits, and prepare accurate, profitable proposals within company standards.
  • Operational Coordination: Work with installation teams to communicate job specifications, timelines, and customer expectations.
  • Reporting & CRM: Utilize CRM tools to track interactions, analyze sales trends, and provide forecasting reports to upper management.
