The Generator Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installation, and sales support of Generac industrial products. This position will require up to 50% travel; fleet vehicle provided.

Requirements

Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
Understand components and operation of an electrical distribution system
Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision
Experienced in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology
Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, and heating products
Spark Ignited knowledge
Technical Field Service Representative Trainee: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma 1 – 3 years related mechanical experience and completion of Electrical/Electronic or HVAC program
Technical Field Service Representative Level I: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma 2 – 3 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
Technical Field Service Representative Level II: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma 4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS )
Technical Field Service Representative Level III: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma 6 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS )
Master Field Service Technician: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, Generac Master Certification or equivalent 8 years in advanced troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
