About The Position

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking a Mid Level Structural Engineer to work in our Generation Civil/Structural/Architectural Department in our Boise, ID office. The position requires a mid-level structural engineer with experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis and engineering for heavy industrial projects. The candidate should have technical knowledge of building codes and material specifications, as well as a working knowledge of structural analysis and design software. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, both individually and as part of a project team, is essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited BS Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• EIT obtained.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• PE license obtained at least in one State.
• Knowledge and/or ability to learn 3D modeling software.
• Experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Experience with RISA or STAAD software.
• A strong understanding of structural building codes.
• Seismic analysis and design.
• Dynamic foundation analysis.
