Become a Generation Control Engineer 3 at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be responsible for the safe and reliable operations and maintenance (O&M) of the various Distributed Control Systems (DCS) used to operate SCE's Power Generation, Battery Storage, and Water & Gas systems. You will also assist with designing, developing and implementing system upgrades and new solutions to challenging issues, including enabling innovative technology in the renewable generation future at SCE. Additionally, Directs and performs sophisticated DCS maintenance and improvement activities including major logic and design changes, patching, programming, device management, configuration changes and system integration. Resolves minor and/or sophisticated incidents and issues involving control system hardware, software, demonstrating industry and technical experience with DCS and power plant operations. Provides recommendations on potential improvements to control system, which can improve and/or provide efficiencies to power plant operations. Actively participates to establish and complete projects within the Generation portfolio including prioritization, planning, design, execution, testing, and deployment of various control system technologies.
