About The Position

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for general entry-level warehouse operations activities in various areas including receiving, unloading, stowing/stocking, picking, processing, stacking, sorting, packing, shipping, inventory, and returns. The role requires meeting the company's quality, productivity, security, and safety standards. The work is routine and requires limited training or specialized skills. Strong job performance has the potential to lead to permanent placement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Responsible, dependable, punctual; take pride in work
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours in a day
• Ability to walk up to 6 hours
• Ability to reach up and out continuously
• Ability to climb occasionally
• Ability to push/pull up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to perform repetitive foot movement occasionally
• Ability to perform repetitive hand/arm movements frequently
• Specific vision ability required includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to wear PPE
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally in English
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
• Proficient in mathematics, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Break down/open boxes
• Apply/remove stickers from product
• Unload product from cartons
• Manually pack and seal cartons
• Gather and compact trash
• Manually make cardboard boxes and displays
• Load product onto conveyor to maintain expected and continuous product flow
• Clean the distribution center and individual areas
• Perform duties and responsibilities following established procedures
• Follow safety rules for personal protection and the protection of others, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
