About The Position

Wilson Sporting Goods is seeking General Warehouse Workers for direct hire opportunities at our Mt. Juliet Warehouse. This position offers a starting pay of $17.75 per hour and up to 3 weeks of paid time off in the first year. The work schedule is 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday. Requirements

• Prefer 1-year previous experience packing freight.
• Ability to work the Weekend shift work schedule: Thursday through Sunday 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Schedule flexibility as dictated by business demand, including overtime.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to pass required OSHA CERTIFIED Written Test.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment basic aptitude driving test.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to count accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily activities and operations of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse.
• Verify quantity, quality, and labeling of outgoing goods per customer order.
• Select and process materials and cartons.
• Pick and fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.
• Organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse.
• Handle routine needs in the shipping department.
• Identify and maintain necessary equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Inspect equipment, perform daily checklist, and communicate deficiencies to supervision.
• Meet production efficiency levels.
• Maintain quality of work with a focus on accuracy.
• Work independently and in a team environment, willing to help in other departments and work overtime when necessary.
• Consistently work scheduled shifts and comply with company attendance policy.
• Pack orders according to customer’s shipping instructions, apply shipping labels, and document carton count for outgoing shipments.
• Prioritize orders based on customer’s expected ship date.
• Communicate with department supervisor and crew leader to ensure accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
• Use a computer to pack customer orders utilizing SAP Warehouse Management when necessary.
• Scan each carton and weigh each carton.
• Operate manual pallet jack equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Train new associates on shipping tasks.
• Sweep and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report any unsafe work conditions.
